Uneventful rest day of an OFW

It's Friday and in a middle east country, it's a restday. Woke up early (force of habit) checked out my laptop to see messages from my ever-loving wife. Though eyes still half-shut, tried to read the message. Went back to bed, still sleepy, snuggled some more, trying to catch up on that lost sleep. Around 6:20, got up, went back to my laptop and turned on my electric kettle. Read again my wife's messages. It's really amazing how few words can make you feel. How you can feel the excitement in the message. The night before she and her high school friends met for the first time after so many years. I told her they are lucky. Lucky to have each others as friends and able to meet after a long time. Friends forever. Unlike me, my friends come and go.

Had coffee and bread with butter for breakfast. Waited for some more messages from my wife, and we're chatting. I'm also eagerly waiting for any message from my 3 sons. Adrian, the youngest briefly went online, and after a single word - Hello, he has gone offline. That was it.

I was invited to a godchild's birthday party today. Due to reasons purely financial, I couldn't attend. Besides, I wanted to chat with my wife some more. And, I'm also waiting for any message from any of my 3 sons.

Watched the news on GMA-7, got depressed on the news that 2 pre-teen girls were killed and burned in Bahi, Pangasinan and a 14-year old boy killed by a rushing truck in Southexpressway in San Andres, Manila.

After chatting with my wife who had to turn in for the night, I dyed my hair although I didn't want to. I yearn for the day when I don't have to dye my hair anymore. Took a bath and brushed my teeth after awhile. Now it's bedtime. Tomorrow is another boring workday.
